Families are invited to register for an overnight campout in scenic Fort Zumwalt Park this fall. The campout will be held from 6 p.m. on Friday, September 17, through 10 a.m. on Saturday, September 18.
Family Camping Night offers a great introduction to basic camping skills, including tent setup. Campers can also enjoy storytelling around the campfire and making s’mores. Families must bring their own tent, and each is asked to provide a potluck dish to share. O’Fallon Parks and Rec staff will cook the main meal on Friday night and serve breakfast on Saturday morning.
The cost for up to five people is $30 per O’Fallon family, or $35 for a non-resident family, with additional family members at $5 each. The deadline to register for Family Camping Night is Sunday, September 12.
