Doggie Day includes 5K Race, Bone Hunt, Pool Paws Swim

Join the pack for a dog-oriented day of fun and games, exercise and socializing in Civic Park on Saturday, September 11, from 8:30 a.m. - 2 p.m. Register pets for one Doggie Day activity, or get a discount for all events by purchasing the Puppy Power Pack for $25 per dog plus two humans. Dogs must have proof of current vaccinations and keep their humans leashed at all times.

 

Doggie Day events:

Doggie Day 5K Run/Walk – Set your own pace in this 3.1-mile race from 8:30 - 10a.m. The Run/Walk will not be professionally timed. Awards will be given to the speediest dogs in three divisions: small (20 pounds and under), medium (20 – 60 pounds), and large (over 60 pounds). Cost is $12 per dog.

Bone Hunt – From 10 – 11 a.m., dogs can show their owners where to find cool treats hidden in Civic Park. Cost is $7 per dog.

Pool Paws Dog Swim – Enjoy raffles, games, prizes and swimming in Alligator’s Creek Aquatic Center with your pet from 11 a.m. – 2 p.m. Every dog gets a chance to win an attendance prize in this fundraiser to benefit the Missouri Alliance for Animal Legislation. Cost is $10 per dog with 1-2 humans; additional humans admitted for $3 each. All dogs must be accompanied by at least one adult (age 18 or older). In the event of bad weather, Pool Paws will be held on Saturday, September 18.
