Families, friends, neighbors, co-workers and individuals are invited to register for O’Fallon’s 8th Annual Fall Fest 5K Fun Run, which will begin at 7:30 a.m. on Saturday, October 9, outside O’Fallon Municipal Centre (City Hall), 100 North Main Street, O’Fallon, Missouri 63366. The route will follow a clearly-marked circuit through the neighborhood and return to the start/finish line at City Hall.
The annual Fall Fest 5K Fun Run is open to all ages, with Age Divisions (10 and under, 11-14, 15-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, and 60+), Baby Stroller Division (male and female), Athena (for females weighing 150 lbs. or more), Clydesdale (for males weighing 205 lbs. or more), and the Fall Costume Contest. Costumes must be appropriate for a family-friendly event and remain intact throughout the race.
“Last year’s race was great,” said Megan Houlihan, O’Fallon’s Festival Coordinator. “We had 400 participants of all ages. It’s a fun time for all ages and abilities.”
Race Day registration will be held from 6 – 7:15 a.m. An awards ceremony will be held after the race at approximately 8:30 a.m. in City Hall. Awards will be given to the top three male and female runners overall, the top three male/female runners in each division, and the three best fall costumes worn by participants.
Fall Fest Fun Run race perks include a race packet with giveaways, DAG digital timing for accuracy, T-shirts for the first 300 entrants (sizes are not guaranteed), discounts for early and family registration (except on race day), and complimentary post-race snacks and beverages. Costs are:
- Early registration through September 4 is $15 per person, or $13 per family member with three or more registering at the same time.
- Registration through October 8 is $18 per person or $15 per family member with three or more registering at the same time.
- Race Day registration is $20 per person; no discounts.
