Summer to Fall events in Fort Zumwalt Park:
This summer, O’Fallon’s scenic Fort Zumwalt Park will host historic home tours, concerts, an ugly pickup truck contest, and an art fair, all sponsored by the City of O’Fallon.
Each event includes an opportunity to tour the Historic Darius Heald Home. Built circa 1884 by Darius Heald, a wealthy farmer and O’Fallon civic leader, the second story of this handsome brick house was demolished by a tornado in 1915, and rebuilt one foot shorter. Admission is $2 per person.
The home is open for tours during special events in the park (see the list of free events, below), and also by appointment for groups of 10 or more. Call 636-379-5614, or e-mail This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it .
