Vote for O'Fallon City Council Reps on April 5

Please remember to vote on April 5

 

Registered O'Fallon voters will have a chance to cast votes for City Council representatives for their ward and other measures on the ballot on Tuesday, April 5, 2011. The polls will be open from 6 a.m. to 7 p.m.

 

Six City Council seats are open, and candidates have filed in all five of the City's wards. Voters can choose a candidate to represent each vacant seat in the ward in which they live.

 

In Wards 1 and 2, two candidates each have filed for three-year terms.

 

In Ward 3, voters have two seats to consider, and can vote for one of five candidates to fill the remaining two years of a three-year term, and also one candidate who filed for a three-year term.

 

In Wards 4 and 5, one candidate in each ward has filed for a three-year term. 

 

In addition, O'Fallon voters can vote on the following ballot issues:

 

Proposition S, known as the "O'Fallon Smoke-Free Air Act," an ordinance to prohibit smoking in indoor work places and public places. The annexation of seven (7) parcels into the City of O'Fallon's corporate limits. The O'Fallon City Council approved propositions A.1 - A.7 related to the annexation of these unincorporated properties into the City, and voter approval is required to complete the annexation.
